Deatsville, AL is a small town situated in the western part of Elmore County and the eastern part of Autauga County.
Deatsville’s location allows residents access to several major cities, including Birmingham, AL, which sits 67 miles away, and Atlanta, GA, which is 141 miles away. This allows residents to live in a close-knit community and take part in all the amenities found in bigger cities.

Holtville Middle and Holtville High School are part of the Elmore County School System. In the last decade, Holtville High School, a past National Blue Ribbon School Award Nominee, has undergone extensive construction and renovations, resulting in a state-of-the-art science lab, among other improvements. All three schools boast small student-to-teacher ratios that rival those found in private schools.
Although there are no private schools in Deatsville, there are several to choose from in the neighboring communities, including Chapman Christian Academy and New Life Christian Academy.

Residents of Deatsville only have to make a short drive to Millbrook (approximately 10 miles) for access to public parks.
In Millbrook, 15-acre Memorial Center Park provides opportunities for walking along a lighted trail, as well as picnicking, barbecuing, and outdoor play at the Village Green, a wide open green space that provides the perfect spot for impromptu games.
The park also boasts a custom designed playground for kids that was built entirely by volunteers, footbridges overlooking the creeks below, and a covered stage for live entertainment. Memorial Center Park is often the site of arts and crafts festivals, concerts, and other events designed to bring the entire community together.
Mill Creek Sports Complex can also be found in Millbrook. This new state-of-the-art baseball facility includes six baseball fields and two batting cages. The complex expects to add even more batting cages in the future.
Slightly more than 15 miles from Deatsville, the Coosa Outdoor Center provides another great opportunity for fun in the sun. Here, kayaks and paddleboards can be rented and taken down the Coosa River, which gives visitors the chance to see wildlife, including an array of birds, fish, and turtles, in its natural habitat.
Anyone who enjoys golf will appreciate the close proximity to The Pines, an 18-hole public golf course in Millbrook. The golf course plays over 6,318 yards and has a slope of 113. Family owned and operated, The Pines is open to everyone.
Visiting Kendrick Farms, a farmers market and cafe, in nearby Prattville is another option for Deatsville residents. Here, you can purchase everything from fresh eggs and produce to homemade jellies, ice cream, and pies made from fruit grown on the property.
